This Standard Wiring Pencil (QSE) RRP-103, without Brake, is preloaded with a Solderable Enamel Wire Bobbin or wire spool.
The original Roadrunner® Wiring Pencil prototyping wiring tool, is well balanced and easy to handle, with a long-life stainless-steel tip for high speed accurate wiring, even in the most confined areas.
Wire feed tension is varied by gently adjusting the bobbin supports or adjusting the angle of the device during the wiring process. A full, ready to use wire spool, is supplied with each pencil.
This wiring tool, is recommended for: beginners or advanced students, technicians, engineers or hobbyists for the assembly and wiring of Dual In Line logic and microprocessor circuits or discrete electronic circuits using the Roadrunner Rapid Wiring System, Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and the wiring of Surface Mount Devices (SMD’s); for end of line or Field Service for PCB or PWB track repair, rework, shorting links or modifications.
The coloured Solderable Enamel Wire (QSE) bobbins are interchangeable with the TCW Wiring Pencils (RRP-104 and RRP-124).

Safety Note: The coloured bobbins are insulated and the insulation is removed at the connection points using a temperature controlled soldering iron.
CAUTION: When soldered, the solderable enamel emits a toxic vapour, toluene diisocyanate, ventilate area well.

Please Note: To maintain the supply of the four colours, there may be differences in the colour shades or colours, i.e. Pink & Red, Violet & Blue, Green may have a different shade and the Copper/Gold colour is generally constant.
The wire diameter may vary: 0.15mm dia., may be supplied as 0.16mm dia.; 0.19mm dia., may be supplied as 0.20mm dia. Additionally, the grades may vary from 2 to 1.
