Frequently Asked Questions

What distinguishes the RRW-C-105 gold/copper wire?
ā–¶
The RRW-C-105 is a 0.19 mm diameter insulated copper wire coated with gold/copper-coloured enamel, providing a professional finish and easy visual identification.

How many bobbins are in a pack and what length does each provide?
ā–¶
Each pack includes 4 refill bobbins, each containing approximately 20 m of 0.19 mm dia. wire, ensuring sufficient quantity for multiple wiring tasks.

What soldering temperature is needed for the enamel?
ā–¶
Use a soldering iron at 400–430 °C (Weller bit code 8 or 9) to burn off the self-fluxing polyurethane enamel before soldering the wire to pads or components.

What are the ideal applications for gold/copper coloured wire?
ā–¶
Gold/copper wire enhances the aesthetic of finished prototypes, is useful for power or ground paths, and adds clear contrast in multi-colour wiring schemes.

What are the temperature ratings and standards compliance?
ā–¶
The enamelled insulation is rated for continuous use up to +120 °C and complies with IEC 60317-0-1 standards for solderable enamelled wires.
