Frequently Asked Questions

What is the RRB-118 High Density Eurocard?
The RRB-118 is a double‑height, double‑sided Eurocard (6U) measuring 233.4 × 160 mm, featuring three copper planes—signal, power, and ground—designed for high‑density prototyping.

What connector and mounting options are available?
It includes DIN 41612 connector mounting holes at one end supporting 32‑, 64‑, or 96‑way connectors, and is compatible with DIN 41494 card frames for rack integration.

What is the hole matrix and plane layout?
The board uses a 2.54 × 2.54 mm hole matrix with 1.02 mm drillings. The component side has a ground screen marked ‘GND’, while the wiring side features ‘VCC’ and ‘GND’ power rails plus an internal signal plane.

What materials and protective finishes are used?
Manufactured on FR4 epoxy glass (1.6 mm thick) with 35 µm (1 oz/ft²) copper, the board features an OSP (organic solderability preservative) finish for anti‑tarnish protection and is RoHS compliant.

Which wiring methods are supported?
The RRB-118 supports the Roadrunner® hand‑wiring system, traditional wire wrap, and general‑purpose discrete component wiring, with grid references for easy component placement.
